Who are we?
Feral Grounds is a four-piece band from the Rotterdam area, mostly playing heavy rock and metal.
Predominantly originals with influences of Metallica, Alter Bridge, Mastodon, Stone sour, Queens of the Stone Age, and others.
They don’t fit in one single genre, but just do what they like best.
They’ve been writing music since 2015, and from 2019 they are complete in the current line-up.
After this, they started recording their very first album. Because of the worldwide pandemic (and all its restrictions) this didn’t go smoothly.
The more reason to be proud of the result. From September 8th 2022 the album is live on all major streaming services, and is for sale at all live shows
Dennis, Guitar/Vocals
One of the founding members of Feral Grounds. Having written a handful of songs already, all he needed was a gentle push from someone to actually form a band and do something with these songs.
Dennis gets his influence quite heavily from Metallica, Alter Bridge, Mastodon, Stone Sour and Queens of the Stone Age. He plays primarily on PRS guitars, and uses Line6 quipment for his main sound.
Lars, drums
If you want pounding drums, you can rely on this half of the rhythm section! Lars was the one pushing Dennis to continue his work on writing songs and trying to get the band complete. He draws his inspiration heavily on Iron Maiden and Stone Sour.
George, guitar
Eardum piercing, soaring, high pitched, fast pased lead guitar. That is what George throws in the mix. He’s the fella who brings the ‘progressive’ flavor to Feral Grounds. But if you want bluesy, or epic.. he’s your man too! Not afraid to sometimes swap lead duties with Dennis. He will gladly provide the tight rhythm sound. Really a jack of all (guitar) trades, but also a master of all!
His axes are Gibson Les Pauls, and he uses Line6 gear for his main sound.
Henk, bass guitar
Ever have that feeling your heart makes an extra beat? That must be because Henk is playing. Making the rhythm section of this band complete, he really forms a strong foundation together with Lars.
Something George and Dennis (with their fiddly thin strings) can rely on. Having grown up on a steady diet of American punk, but also the more modern (progressive) metal/rock, this guys is an awesome asset to this band.
Using a plethora of bass guitars, he can provide the punch we want. He uses Line6 gear for his main sound.
